These earrings feature an 8 x 10 mm oval amazonite cabochon set in a sterling silver bezel with mixed metal sterling silver and brass fringe. The contrast with both white and gold metals really compliments the vibrancy of the stone. They are approximately 2 inches long with sterling silver posts.
Amazonite is known to have soothing effects on the nervous system to alleviate worry and fear. It is a form of microline feldspar and often has some light marbling, providing just the slightest bit of contrast and depth within the stone. It is found in various parts of the world-Russia, Madagascar, Brazil and the United States, interestingly enough it occurs right here in Colorado, as well as Virginia.
